Church ensemble in Korovniki Sloboda is a wonderful ensemble of Yaroslavl architecture of the late XVII century. The ensemble includes two churches - the main church of St John Chrysostom (1649-1654) next to it the church of Virgin of Vladimir (1669), a fence running along the Volga river and connecting the both churches, Holy Gate (1690) and high slender belfry located between the churches (1680).

Tiered Holy Gates connected to the church by the low surrounding wall was constructed in the late XVII century in Naryshkinsky baroque style. Three-staged polyhedral with high arch gateway in the center and two small ways on both sides the surrounding wall became a connecting link of the entier architectural composition.
